Karachi: The 14th death anniversary of the prominent political figure and wife of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, was observed on Thursday.
According to Radio Pakistan, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, born on March 23, 1928, in Iran, held the position of Pakistan’s first lady from 1971 to 1977. Her political career included being elected as a Member of the National Assembly from Larkana in both 1988 and 1993.
She passed away in Dubai on this day in 2011 after a long illness.
