Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has invited UAE’s telecommunications company, Etisalat Group, to enhance its investment portfolio in diverse sectors of Pakistan’s economy. He extended this invitation during a meeting with a five-member delegation from the Group, led by CEO Hatem Dowidar, in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that providing a business-friendly environment and more investment opportunities to foreign investors is a top priority for the government. He assured Etisalat Group of all possible facilities to support its investments in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister noted the long-standing relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, which are based on shared cultural and religious values. He highlighted that many Emirati companies have been investing in the Pakistani economy for a significant period.

During the meeting, the CEO of Etisalat Group expressed appreciation for the business-friendly environment that Pakistan offers to international companies. He mentioned that the Group has been investing in Pakistan for the past 19 years and is keen to expand its business portfolio further.

The CEO also highlighted that more than ten thousand Pakistanis are employed by Etisalat Group, contributing valuable services. He reiterated the company’s commitment to long-term and successful investments in Pakistan in the future.
