Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed concerned departments to complete a survey for the assessment of flood-induced losses in twenty-seven districts at the earliest. Presiding over a meeting in Lahore today, she emphasized the need for a swift and comprehensive evaluation to facilitate timely assistance to the affected regions.

According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz instructed the district-level administration to ensure transparency in the collection and compilation of data concerning compensation for flood-affected people. This move aims to guarantee that the support reaches those in genuine need without any discrepancies.

Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz has proposed the utilization of government-owned agricultural land for wheat cultivation. She stressed the importance of supplying high-quality seeds to ensure a good produce, which could help stabilize the food supply in the aftermath of the floods.
