Islamabad: CTO Pari Gul Tareen, the newly appointed Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad, has officially assumed her position. SP Traffic Majid Iqbal and senior officers were present to welcome the new CTO.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, immediately after assuming charge, CTO Pari Gul Tareen convened a high-level meeting at the ITP Headquarters. The meeting included SP Traffic, zonal DSPs, and other relevant officers. During the session, senior officers provided a briefing on the performance and operational procedures of the traffic police.
CTO Islamabad highlighted the need to identify traffic congestion points in the federal capital using modern technology and emphasized the utilization of all available resources for organized traffic management. She advocated for the intensification of public awareness campaigns about traffic rules with citizen cooperation. Additionally, she asserted that the ongoing indiscriminate operations against illegal parking in commercial areas must continue daily.
She stressed the importance of taking strict action against traffic violations, one-wheelers, hooliganism, and illegal parking on major city roads, along with implementing concrete measures. Special instructions were given to enhance the performance of the traffic education wing and improve public awareness. The CTO underlined that maintaining a coordinated traffic system and offering maximum travel facilities to citizens are top priorities for the Islamabad Traffic Police.
Pari Gul Tareen urged all officers to perform their duties with professionalism and excellence to ensure an organized and efficient traffic management system in Islamabad.
