The Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the misleading rumour about the Chief Election Commissioner that he is being made an ambassador in a foreign country.The commission in a statement today termed the rumour as totally baseless.It said neither the government has made any such offer to him nor he intends to do so. He will remain in his country even after completing his tenure and is not seeking any overseas assignment.The commissioner further said the creator of such rumours and those who spread them further are warned to demonstrate responsibility. Otherwise legal action will be taken against the culprits.The statement further said that the Chief Election Commissioner knows very well how to deal with such miscreants.Source: Radio Pakistan
