Karachi: Relevant government agencies are continuing their actions against smuggling. A total of 7.8 metric tons of fertilizer, 5.5 metric tons of sugar, 1052 cartons of cigarettes, 320 rolls of clothes, and 0.21 million liters of Iranian oil were seized from across the country last week.

According to Radio Pakistan, these seizures are part of a broader initiative to curb illegal trade and protect the country’s economy. The government has been actively pursuing smugglers and implementing stricter border controls to prevent the illicit movement of goods. The seized items, including a significant amount of Iranian oil, highlight the ongoing challenge of smuggling activities in the region.

The authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining vigilance and taking decisive actions against individuals involved in smuggling. Efforts are being coordinated across multiple agencies to ensure effective enforcement of laws and to safeguard national resources.
