Caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi has said the government is fully prepared and committed to conduct general elections on 8th of this month.Addressing a seminar on 'Challenges and Roadmap for the New Government' in Karachi today, he said election process should continue in any case and major issues facing the country, including economy, foreign policy, local governments, governance and civil service reforms, should also be discussed to find their solutions.The Minister urged the people to vote for their future and to maintain the democratic process in the country.Murtaza Solangi mentioned that local governments should be delegated powers to resolve people's issues at the grassroots level.Speaking on the occasion, Principal Information Officer Dr. Tariq Mehmood said the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing seminars to educate citizens about the importance of voting, the electoral system, and the role of elected represen tatives.Source: Radio Pakistan
