Islamabad: The efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies to revive the economy and alleviate the ongoing power crisis are now showing positive outcomes.According to Radio Pakistan, in a robust crackdown against electricity theft, more than 133 billion rupees have been recovered since September 2023. This initiative has led to the arrest of over 87,516 individuals involved in power theft during the same period.In the past week alone, authorities successfully reclaimed over 920 million (92 crore) rupees from power thieves nationwide. Additionally, 173 people were detained for their involvement in stealing electricity during this time frame.The relevant agencies remain steadfast in their mission to eradicate power theft entirely across the nation. Their commitment to continuing operations until achieving full success underscores the government's dedication to economic revival and resolving the power crisis.
