Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has made it unequivocally clear that any leniency or softness towards terrorists is unacceptable. Speaking in the Lower House today, Asif stressed the importance of a firm stance against terrorism, indicating that the same message will be communicated to Afghanistan. He highlighted the necessity of a clear and unambiguous fight against terrorism, urging political unity and support for the armed forces in their mission to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Defense Minister addressed concerns about terrorist attacks originating from Afghanistan and urged Afghan authorities to ensure their territory is not used for activities targeting Pakistan. Asif announced that a Pakistani delegation would soon visit Kabul to convey that such situations are intolerable.

Further, Asif discussed the long-standing presence of millions of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, noting that while a minority receives aid from the United Nations, the majority are engaged in business activities within the country. He pointed out that despite some refugees achieving significant financial success in Pakistan, there are those who still show hostility towards the nation.

The session concluded with an announcement that the House will reconvene tomorrow at 11 in the morning.
