Prime Minister's Coordinator on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam says comprehensive measures are being taken ahead of the upcoming monsoon season to prepare for potential floods. In a statement, she said these proactive efforts aim at minimizing the impact of floods on vulnerable communities. She said in view of safety of affected individuals, relief camps will be established at easily accessible locations to ensure provision of essential amenities including shelter, food, portable drinking water, medical supplies, and animal care.The Prime Minister's coordinator emphasized that the ministry is serving as a collaborative platform for all relevant departments to assess flood vulnerability and develop a unified strategy to mitigate the effects of potential floods on lives and livelihoods, crops and infrastructure.Source: Radio Pakistan
