Minister for Power Awais Leghari has emphasized the urgent need to address electricity theft, terming it as an economic terrorism that has severely impacted country's economy.He was addressing Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of Power Distribution Companies through a video link.The Minister declared that all obstacles hindering efforts to prevent electricity theft must be removed.He warned that employees and officers involved in such illegal activities would be dealt with firmly and decisively.He also made it clear that there would be no political interference in campaign against electricity theft.Source: Radio Pakistan
