Islamabad: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reaffirmed their commitment to addressing the challenges posed by climate change. This consensus was reached during a meeting between Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, and Khazar Farhadov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, held in Islamabad.According to Radio Pakistan, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister highlighted the critical role of developed countries in fulfilling their financial commitments to assist developing nations in their climate mitigation and adaptation efforts. This underscores the necessity for international cooperation and support in addressing global climate challenges.Azerbaijan's ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, emphasized the importance of closer bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, particularly in the areas of sustainable development, climate change, and regional cooperation. The meeting highlighted the mutual interest of both nations in enhancing collaboration to address environmen tal concerns and promote sustainable development.
