Pakistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to further deepen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including trade, connectivity and energy.The understanding was reached during meeting between Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit Conference in Banjul, the Gambia.They also noted the importance of deepening dialogue and engagement especially at political level.Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar congratulated Azerbaijan on winning the bid to host COP 29 in the city of Baku in November this year and expressed Pakistan's interest in enhanced cooperation and experience sharing in combating climate change. He also appreciated Azerbaijan's firm and principled position on the just cause of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.The two leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations and emphasized the exceptional bilateral relations and the strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Trkiye.Expressing satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations, they reiterated their resolve to further deepen bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on economic, trade, and defence sectors.Source: Radio Pakistan
