ISLAMABAD: Chinese Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, met with Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch in Islamabad on Monday to discuss the role of neighboring countries in stabilizing Afghanistan. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between Pakistan and China to ensure peace and stability in the war-torn country.According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong also engaged in detailed consultations with Additional Foreign Secretary for Afghanistan and West Asia, Ambassador Ahmad Naseem Warraich. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations with Afghanistan and emphasized the crucial part that neighboring states play in securing a peaceful and stable future for Afghanistan.Both sides reiterated their commitment to working closely with other neighboring countries to support Afghanistan's journey towards peace. The consultations highlighted the shared interest of Pakistan and China in promoting regional stability and their resolve to contribut e positively to Afghanistan's reconstruction and peace process.
