Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed the resolve to utilize the optimum potential of their bilateral trade and increase it to five billion dollars.The commitment was expressed during meeting between Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Turkish counterpart Fidan Hakan on the margins of Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels today.The two sides also vowed to further enhance cooperation in defence, strategic and civil aviation sectors.Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's readiness to share experience and expertise in nuclear energy and applications.He appreciated Turkiye's principled stance on Kashmir dispute and its unflinching support for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.Deliberating upon the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the two foreign ministers also reaffirmed unflinching support to the people of Palestine.Ishaq Dar extended invitation to his Turkish counterpart to visit Pakistan which he gladly accepted.The Turkish Foreign Minister conveyed felicitations on behalf of the President of Turkiye to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on successful elections.He highlighted that the two countries have immense potential given their strategic and geographic locations and underlined the importance of synchronizing their actions and policies for cooperation at global and regional level.The two Foreign Ministers noted with satisfaction the upwards trajectory of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkiye.Source: Radio Pakistan
