President Dr. Arif Alvi says parliamentary supervision is indispensable for efficient use of national treasury and promotion of transparency.During his visit to Auditor Genral's office in Islamabad today, he said the role of the Auditor General is important in identifying flaws and strengthening the government's financial management system.President Dr. Arif Alvi said the efficiency of the Auditor General of Pakistan can be increased with the use of modern technology. He said documenting the economy, digitizing government transactions will promote transparency.Auditor General of Pakistan Muhammad Ajmal Gondal briefed the President about the role and performance of the institution.He informed the President about the role of the institution in the process of financial accountability.
