Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the officials of Federal Board of Revenue for collecting more taxes than the set target during May in this year.In his message, he said that FBR collected 760 billion rupees against its set target of 745 billion rupees in May, for which the team deserves appreciation.Shehbaz Sharif said that it is the result of diligent work of FBR team to bring 31 percent increase in tax collection rate till May 2024 and 43 percent increase in domestic tax rate this month compared to last year.The Prime Minister termed increasing revenues for economic stability and development as the first priority of the government.Source: Radio Pakistan
