Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the NDMA and other relevant institutions to accelerate relief operations in rain affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.In a statement today, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property due to heavy rains and commiserated with the bereaved families.He said the federal government stands with the provincial governments of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in providing all possible assistance in relief operations.The Prime Minister said no effort should be spared in providing relief to the affected people.He directed to expedite work for reopening roads closed due to rains and landslides.Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the rain related incidents.Source: Radio Pakistan
