President and Prime Minister Honor Teachers’ Role in Nation-Building

Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their appreciation for the crucial contributions teachers make to nation-building, character development, and the enhancement of education quality.

According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders shared their messages on World Teachers' Day, emphasizing the significance of teachers in shaping future generations and the necessity of strengthening the educational system.

President Zardari acknowledged that teachers impart knowledge, nurture curiosity, and help young people develop essential skills and values. He highlighted this year's theme, "Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures," which underscores the importance of recognizing teachers and providing them with professional support and opportunities.

Prime Minister Sharif noted that educational institutions and teachers play a vital role in character-building, which forms the foundation for national progress and prosperity. He also mentioned the establishment of Danish Schools across the country to ensure that quality education is accessible to capable and talented students, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
