Muscat:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that millions of young people in Punjab are being trained in various sectors to enhance their skills.
According to Radio Pakistan, this announcement was made during her meeting with Oman's Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Habsi, in Muscat. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Punjab and Oman in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and aquaculture.
The Omani minister congratulated Maryam Nawaz on receiving the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award for her "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" programme. Both sides agreed to expand their collaboration in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock, with Oman offering assistance in establishing Punjab's first shrimp centre.
Maryam Nawaz proposed exporting quality meat from Punjab to Muscat at competitive international market rates and indicated plans to boost exports of livestock for milk and meat production.
