Rizwan Lauds Role of Pakistani American Community in United States’ Progress, Development

New jersey: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Shaikh, has commended the contributions of the Pakistani American community in the progress and development of the United States. He was addressing the Pakistan Day Parade organized by the Pakistani American community in New Jersey.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador highlighted the constructive role of the Pakistani American community in the United States, noting that it is a source of pride for Pakistan. Rizwan Saeed Shaikh emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day, describing it as a proud milestone in the nation’s history. He mentioned that the celebrations this year are particularly joyful due to Pakistan’s recent victory in Marka-e-Haq, which has united the nation.

He encouraged community members to remain engaged in the social fabric and democratic processes of their adopted homeland, stressing the importance of constructive civic participation. The Ambassador also praised the achievements of the Pakistani Ice Hockey Team, which recently excelled at the Ice Hockey Tournament in the United States, bringing further recognition to Pakistan’s sporting talent.

The parade featured stalls showcasing Pakistan’s cultural heritage, handicrafts, and traditional cuisines. The atmosphere was enriched with performances, including national songs presented by Pakistani artists, which highlighted the patriotic sentiments of the community. The annual event was marked by cultural displays and a strong turnout from Pakistani Americans and members of other communities.

The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, also attended the parade. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between Pakistan and its diaspora in the United States, as well as a shared commitment to promoting cultural understanding and national pride.
