A fifty member delegation of Sikh community visited the historic Jamrud Fort, Balahisar Fort and Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh, Peshawar.The delegation was briefed about the history of Jamrud and Balahisar forts and their importance during the Sikh rule. They also visited a Sikh era monument in the Jamrud Fort and a museum in Balahisar Fort where historical artifacts of Sikh era are displayed.The delegation also visited Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh and performed religious rituals.Participants of the delegation danced to the tunes of traditional Punjabi songs presented by band of Frontier Corps North.On the occasion, they thanked Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps North and other organizers for inviting them to visit these places and according special hospitality to them.They expressed gratitude to Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps for preserving these historical places.Source: Radio Pakistan
