Speakers of Turkiye and Azerbaijan Visit Mausoleum of Allama Iqbal in Lahore

Lahore: Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, Professor Dr. Numan Kurtulmus, and Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, visited the Mausoleum of Allama Iqbal in Lahore today. Both dignitaries laid floral wreaths and offered fateha at the mausoleum, paying tribute to the philosopher-poet. They also recorded their remarks in the visitors’ book.

According to Radio Pakistan, upon their arrival in Lahore, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan warmly welcomed the distinguished guests at the Lahore Airport and presented bouquets to them. The visit was part of a broader engagement, as both speakers, accompanied by their parliamentary delegations, proceeded to the Punjab Assembly.

During their visit to the Punjab Assembly, the speakers held a meeting with Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan in the Assembly Chamber. Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations, promoting trade cooperation, and enhancing strategic partnerships in sectors such as defence, education, and energy.
