Tªte- -Tªte Meeting Strengthens Brunei-Germany Relations

Berlin: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, expressed appreciation for the long-standing cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany, which has spanned over 40 years. His Majesty conveyed his anticipation for the upcoming 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-EU Relations in 2027 during a meeting with His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Federal President of Germany. This meeting was part of His Majesty's official visit to Germany, taking place at Villa Borsig in Berlin, with His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen accompanying him.

According to Radio Television Brunei, upon His Majesty's arrival, he was welcomed by His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Before the meeting commenced, His Majesty signed the guest book and participated in a photo session with the President.

During their Tªte- -Tªte, both leaders discussed the reaffirmation of their countries' long-standing friendship and cooperation. They welcomed the ongoing development of bilateral relations and noted the growing cooperation across various fields. Additionally, His Majesty was introduced to the German delegation, while His Excellency was introduced to the Brunei delegation.
