Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Washington's economic tactics against Iran are a recurring strategy that Tehran is well-equipped to handle. During a visit to the mausoleum of former Iranian leader Khomeini in Tehran, Araghchi likened the US's economic maneuvers, as described by President Donald Trump, to repetitive policies previously employed by Washington.

According to TRTworld.com, Araghchi emphasized that the US's historical threats of military action have repeatedly reverted to longstanding strategies, indicating an inability to devise new approaches against Iran. "They cannot think of any other solution in confronting the great Iranian people, so they repeatedly put forward the same old plans," Araghchi noted, advocating for a dialogue rooted in respect and dignity.

President Trump recently declared his intent to initiate an unparalleled economic campaign against Iran, framing it as a maximum-pressure endeavor aimed at isolation and economic warfare. This move comes amidst a backdrop of halted negotiations following a memorandum of understanding signed in June, facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar, which aimed to de-escalate tensions and pursue a comprehensive agreement.
