77th Founding Day of AJK marks renewed pledge for liberation

The 77th Founding Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir state was observed today with a renewed pledge to continue struggle until liberation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Today was a public holiday throughout the state.

The day dawned with 21 gun salutes in state capital Muzaffarabad.

The Founding Day is celebrated in commemoration of freedom from the Dogra regime on the 24th of October in 1947.

Special prayers were offered in mosques for integrity and prosperity of Pakistan and the early liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Flag hoisting ceremonies were held at all district and divisional headquarters.

In state capital Muzaffarabad, main function of Founding Day was held at Prade Ground wherein President AJK Barrister Sultan Mehmood Ch and Prime Minister Ch Anwarul Haq hoisted the national flag.

The national anthems of Pakistan and AJK were presented and the chief guest received salute by various floats representing all departments.

JK Barrister Sultan Mehmood Ch and Prime Minister Ch Anwar ul Haq expressed their profound gratitude to Pakistan for unequivocal political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle.

They announced that demonstrations will be held on Black Day to be observed on Sunday to further expose Modi ugly face and his state terrorism in IIOJK.
