China has slammed the decision by more and more countries to require COVID-19 testing from visitors arriving from China and vowed to take countermeasures in response.

Talking to newsmen in Beijing today, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said some countries have taken entry restrictions targeting only Chinese travelers.

She said this lacks scientific basis and some practices are unacceptable.

The countries such as the US, Japan, the UK and Italy had announced last week that arrivals from China would have to present a negative test to enter their borders.
