China and Iran have urged Afghanistan to end restrictions on women’s work and education.
The call came in a joint statement on Thursday at the end of the visit by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Beijing.
The statement said the two sides called on the Afghan rulers to form an inclusive government consisting all ethnic groups.
On the other hand, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi also called for the lifting of sanctions on Iran as an integral part of a stalled international agreement on its nuclear program.
