Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has asked the PTI to refrain from disrupting the law and order situation in the Islamabad’s Red Zone.
He was talking to the media, along with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in Islamabad on Wednesday evening.
The Interior Minister said PTI workers should desist from entering the Red Zone and organizing any protest demonstration outside the Election Commission of Pakistan.
He said the PTI should hold its protest at H-9 ground, F-9 Park or the Parade Ground as specified by the Supreme Court and the Islamabad High Court.
Rana Sanaullah said peaceful protest is a democratic right of every political party, including PTI. He said the government respect this right, but strict action will be taken against those, who take law in their hands.
The Interior Minister expressed his apprehensions that PTI is planning violence in front of Election Commission of Pakistan and protestors may attack the ECP.
Rana Sanaullah said cabinet in its meeting, being held tomorrow, will decide further course of action regarding ECP’s verdict pertaining to PTI’s prohibited funding.
