Khalil George urges residents of Jaranwala to remain peaceful

Caretaker Federal Minister for Human Rights Khalil George has urged the people of Jaranwala to remain peaceful.

Talking to media in Jaranwala on Friday, he expressed concern over incidents of burning of churches and houses.

He said that as per Pakistani constitution and law, freedom of speech is right of everyone irrespective of religion or belief.

He said that a detailed probe into the matter is underway and no one will be allowed to destroy the peace of the land.

The Federal Minister said that violating the sanctity of the holy places in unacceptable.

He asked the Faisalabad district administration to provide security to Christian community and their worship places.
