NA session held in Islamabad

The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday with Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair.

The House referred the “Petroleum (Amendment) Bill, 2022” to the joint sitting of the parliament for consideration and passage.

Lawmakers raised their concerns about reports of drugs and harassment of female students of the Islamia University Bahawalpur. The chair directed the Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Police of Punjab to submit a detailed report into the matter.

The House will now meet on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
