President, PM pay tributes to Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid glowing tributes to Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed on his 59th martyrdom anniversary today.

In a statement, the President said the entire nation salutes the unparalleled sacrifice and bravery of Major Aziz Bhatti.

The President said Major Aziz Bhatti heroically fought in the line of duty and defended his motherland in the 1965 War.

He said the entire nation pays homage to its hero, whose matchless sacrifice serves as an epitome of courage and dutifulness.

Asif Ali Zardari said the entire nation renews the pledge to offer every possible sacrifice for the country.

In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Major Raja Aziz Bhatti thwarted the nefarious designs of enemy with his courage and bravery.

He said the enemy dreamed of capturing Lahore cowardly in the darkness of the night in 1965, but unshakable resolve of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed to defend the homeland, pushed the enemy back.

i stood as an invincible bulwark between Lahore and the enemy, which was intoxicated by its numerical superiority.

The Prime Minister said the great sacrifice of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed-Nishan Haider for the defence of the motherland is written in golden words in the history of Pakistan.

He said Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed’s passion and sense of duty is an example for the new generation. He said the entire nation can never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and their families.
