President urges Muslims to follow Sunnah of Holy Prophet (SAWW)

President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged Muslims to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him) that is essentially aimed at the true well-being and welfare of humanity.

He was addressing the concluding session of the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in connection with Eid Milad-un- Nabi (PBUH) in Islamabad on Friday.

The theme of the conference was “Strategy for Country’s Economic Stability in light of Seerat un Nabi (SAWW)”.

The President emphasised on taking care of oppressed and poor as per teachings of the Holy Prophet [PBUH]. He said no society can flourish without taking care of poor and contrary to this capitalism can only exploit a society. He stressed that circulation of wealth is critical for protecting poor’s rights and paving way for the development of a state.

The President also called for promoting minorities’ and female rights and tolerance terming it vital for peaceful coexistence in society.

The President said we should follow the golden principles of Islam as model for peace and guidance. He said for the implementation of real spirit of Islam we need to examine ourselves against the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The President also urged women to contribute in the progress and development of the country. He said no country can progress without women’s contribution. He said to ensure their contribution in country’s development, men should guarantee a harassment-free environment.
