Rain Spell: Sindh Govt cancels health, local bodies, agri departments’ staff leaves from today

Sindh government has cancelled the leaves of the staff of health, local bodies and agriculture departments from today in the wake of a new spell of rains started in the province.

These directives were issued in a high level meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Muhammad Sohail Rajput in Karachi.

All divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners have been directed not to leave offices without prior permission.

Addressing the meeting Chief Secretary made it clear that no negligence will be tolerated in draining out rain water and directed officials concerned that arrangements for timely draining out rain water be ensured.

The meeting was informed that 300 millimeter rain is expected in different areas of the province during the current spell.

Rain emergency cells have been established at district level by Sindh agriculture department.
