SIFC meeting vows to curb smuggling, hoarding, market manipulations

Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council has unanimously decided to deal with the menace of smuggling, hoarding and market manipulations with iron hands through an elaborate enforcement mechanism.

The fifth meeting of the Committee was held in Islamabad today (Saturday) with caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in the chair.

The meeting also decided to take all decisions in larger interest of the Country.

The Prime Minister, on the occasion, directed the ministries to optimally utilise the short interim period for a positive contribution while also initiating medium and long term policy interventions.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff pledged unwavering support of Pakistan Army to backstop the Government’s efforts for ‘Economic Revival’ of the country.
